Bey Deckard engaged the Awesome Indies for a One Stop Submission and after he made some corrections and improvement in the prose at our request, we added his book to the Awesome Indies list of Approved books.
He sent this email of thanks:
This has been an amazing experience, and I am very glad that I decided to take the gamble and submit my book to Awesome Indies. I have had rave reviews from general readers, but not much in the way of constructive criticism or editing help. I’m a portrait painter, a graphics artist and an ex-manager for a large software company – not a writer; before this past June I had never written anything at all other than term papers on Romanesque architecture or Ancient Greek pottery. If someone had told me a year ago that I would sit down and just write a romance/erotica novel and publish it, I would have thought that person was absolutely bonkers. I’ve read exactly one romance book in my life and that was over twenty years ago. But here I am… writing trashy romance. Life’s funny.
Please send my heartfelt thanks to both the reviewers – I know that erotica is not the usual for AI and I’m thankful that both were willing to read through it and help me out.
I’m terribly chuffed about this whole process.
This was money well spent, and you can quote me on that. 🙂
Born and raised in a small coastal town in northern Québec, Bey spent his early summers on his uncle’s boat and running wild on the beaches of the surrounding islands, lighting fires and building huts out of driftwood and fishermen’s nets. As an adult, he eventually made his way to university and earned a degree in Art History with a strong focus on Anthropology. Primarily a portrait painter and graphic artist, Bey sat down one day and decided to write about the two things that he felt most passionate about: sex and the sea.
Bey currently lives in the wilds of Montréal with his best buddy, a spotty pit bull named Murphy. Caged is his first novel.
